(one hectare) consisting mainly of almond trees, interspersed with the occasional olive, fig and carob trees. Oleandros, bougainvilleas as well as cactus and succulents you will find on this exceptional property, in a quiet location some three kilometers northwest of the town of Loule with its picturesque centre and market.
Old building, an open to the roof construction with wooden beams and bamboo, consists of study with fireplace, hallway, kitchen with modern amenities, dining area with ensuite winter lounge with antique french sandstone fireplace and summer lounge. Extensive outside traditional calzada terraces with steps leading down to the pool (11x5 mts) area. New extension, built in the original style, consists of two bedrooms on the ground floor (two individual beds per room), each with its ensuite full bathroom, and a large master bedroom suite (king size bed) on the first floor with balcony and its own bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Each bedroom has its own entrance that can be locked separately. All door and windows, throughout the house, have inside shutters keeping the house relatively cool in summer. Floor of traditional terra cotta tiles, except the first floor which has a teak wooden floor. A breathtaking panoramic view from this rustic setting over land onto the coast and sea. |
