| Description: This nicely renovated condo is in the Maui Sunset, a well managed complex which is ocean front, just a 20 minute drive south from the airport at Kahului, Maui, in sunny Kihei. Concrete construction and excellent design helps keep things quiet and private. The lanai looks over the beautiful grounds to the ocean. The beautiful Pergo flooring throughout is easy to keep clean. Units of similar quality rent for substantially more money. We want to be able to choose who we rent to and are managing the condo ourselves.
No smoking is permitted in this unit and no pets are allowed in the complex. The condo is really nice and modernized. While we were there last week (November 2001) finishing the renovation, we made four more weeks of rental arrangement to people staying elsewhere, who had stopped by to have a look. This fully equipped condo has all the towels and linens you will need, although you should take your own towels to the beach. Some area amenities: Nice souvenir towels are available for less than $10.00 each at ABC stores or 2 for $15 at the swap meet on Saturdays. In the unit there are TVs and VCRS in both the bedroom and the living room and a portable phone and answering machine in the kitchen. There is a new stereo system in the living room. The new kitchen is complete with new appliances including large fridge, hanging microwave and coffee maker, quiet dishwasher, easy to clean stove and up/down washer- drier. There is a large breakfast bar with plenty of eating or working space. If you bring a lap top, dial-up internet access is available from Maui Gateway for $10.00 per week or $20.00 per month. There are three new futons (which serve as sofas or beds) dresser end tables and plenty of cupboard space for storage of your things. Kihei`s largest private pool, hot pool (jet spa) tennis courts, putting green, shuffle board courts, croquet, exercise room, BBQ grills and plenty of opportunity for meeting other friendly people. Ideally located on the sunny side of Maui. There are so many fun things to do but here are a few of our favorites. While still on mainland time, wake up at 4:30 AM local time and drive up to the top of Haleakala (allow 50 minutes) to see the sunrise from the top of this extinct volcano. You can even arrange in advance to bike down the volcano. Good beaches, ocean activities, the Ocean Centre, golf, groceries, shopping and restaurants are all close by. There is a beautiful ocean front golf course at Waehu (good value) and also some good restaurants & shopping on the airport (north) side of the island, as well as a Swap Meet on Saturday mornings. A drive to shop down Front Street in historic Lahaina (on the West side) and see the pageant (Ulalena) at the Arts Centre is well worth while (each of these is about 40 minutes drive). |
